An Aboriginal Organisation is seeking a community development officer to work permanently in Borroloola. Due to a relocation, this rewarding position has become available.
We are looking for an experienced Community Development Officer to coordinate and support c ommunity development projects. You will work with members of the community to set clear plans for the future and help them have responsibility for the long term goals of the community as a whole.
You will play an important role in consultation for the development of community action plans, and monitoring and support for participation in community development projects.
Our ideal applicant will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, highly developed communication skills, experience in training and development, skills in the MS Office suite, as well as the ability to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will also have knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to set and implement plans and programs relevant to business development and community development.
Previous experience in a CDO role, working remotely and 4WD experience would be highly regarded.
