The Open Door is part of The Salvation Army’s Adult Services’ network that consists of numerous support services for people experiencing disadvantage in the comm unity.

The Open Door is a transitional accommodation and support facility, which provides accommodation and support to homeless adult males.  Services include casework, counselling, advocacy, pastoral care, family work, social and recreational activities.  We also provide an outreach service to clients who have exited the facility and/or live in one of our transitional properties.

The Open Door is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team that works with men who have a range of multiple and complex needs resulting from homelessness, mental illness and substance dependency.

New graduates are welcome to apply.

Remuneration

Employment will be covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and the National Employment Standards SACS Award Class 1 until July 2012.
