Specialist Director

    Merri Community Health Services (MCHS) provides a comprehensive and diverse range of health, welfare and advocacy programs and health promotion/education. The service embraces diversity and has a strong history of providing services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate, and at all times attempts to empower people to make their own decisions. MCHS is philosophically guided by the social model of health and underpinned by a primary health care platform.

    Located over 11 sites, and offering services for children, youth, adults, people who are aged and people who have disabilities, MCHS is a sustainable, well managed, efficient and multidisciplinary community health service.

    The service is governed by a Board of Directors with a mix of elected and appointed Directors with specialist expertise. We are seeking:

    (a) To appoint a specialist Director as a health professional or a person having academic experience in the health sector.

    In accordance with the MCHS Constitution Board Directors are paid a small sitting fee.
