Senior Business Analyst in It & Telecommunications Jobs

A leading Queensland organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join them for an initial 24 month fixed term contract.

About the role:

• Developing ‘as-is’ business process documentation to build familiarity with the relevant business processes in a short timeframe and quality assuring the work of other business analysts;
• Organising, facilitating and co-facilitating workshops to extract business requirements and define new or improved business processes;
• Defining and documenting new business practices and processes in a consistent and easily understood manner and facilitating the agreement and sign-off of these with appropriate stakeholders;
• Leading the identification and documentation of business outcomes associated with process efficiencies;
• Ownership of the business requirements throughout the project lifecycle and verifying that the solution will meet the business need and deliver targeted business outcomes;
• Facilitating the implementation of agreed changes to business practices and processes;
• Coaching, mentoring and assisting other business analysts;
• Ensuring approved business processes are published in line with agreed standards.

The person:

• Demonstrated experience in a business analysis role, aligning business and technology solutions with business strategies, in a medium-sized corporate organisation;
• Process analysis, design and delivery capabilities;
• Technology requirements, analysis, delivery and testing experience;
• Strong analytical capabilities – situational analysis, problem and cause identification
• Excellent report writing skills – able to write persuasive cases for change based upon situational analysis;
• Leadership of a SME teams;
• Ability to develop innovative responses / solutions to identified business challenges;
• Demonstrated high level skills in stakeholder management and developing trusted and enduring relationships with business clients.
