A contract opportunity with an immediate start, you will join a federal department dedicated to enhancing the lives of all Australians.
As an experienced APS 6 Web Author, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and publishing of web pages, and the Division's intranet pages. You will work with the Web team to create new pages as required and maintain social media sites in conjunction with Online Communications.
Previous Public Sector experience will ensure that you are successful in this role, as you will need to ensure that policies and standards are consistent with Government and Departmental compliance.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills as you will also be responsible for the ongoing mentoring, advice and support of web authors and content owners across the Division. You will provide advice on the best way to structure information online and provide assistance in other communications duties as required.
To be considered for this role, you will hold an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Suite and hold a sound knowledge of and experience in W3C accessibility guidelines, government standards and best practices. You will also be someone who has an aptitude for providing a high quality of service working both individually and as a team member.
